About

Shield of Faith Productions

Shield of Faith Productions is my little corner of the internet where I share some of the homebrew content I’ve made for D&D 5e, as well as sharing the process and tools I use to put that content together. I hope to not only improve your understanding of the rules as presented, but also give you some guidance on how to tweak them to suit your needs.

However, if your table has a “no homebrew” policy, or if you want to stick to the official stuff for now, fear not! I will also provide links to free resources that I use to help me as a DM and as a player, some that I have created and some that I just really appreciate having access to and want to share. I will be sure to credit the creators of any resources that I did not create, and will provide links to their sites and/or socials when possible. If I share a resource that you created and you would like me to change some aspect of how I present it (e.g. if I credited you incorrectly), feel free to email me at shieldoffaith5e@gmail.com to request any changes.

About Me

My name is Matthew, and I’m kind of just a guy who’s passionate about game design. I was introduced to D&D near the end of high school, and began playing regularly in my first year of college. Since then, I’ve fallen in love with the game and Tabletop Role-Playing Games (TTRPGs) in general. I began experimenting with homebrew in mid-2022, but found that it was difficult to find a centralized hub of advice for how to start making your own game content. Shield of Faith Productions is my way of bringing the knowledge I’ve gained to the masses, and to learn more about the game along the way.

AI Policy

I take no official position on the morality of using AI-generated art or writing for personal use, but I do take a firm stance that using it for professional writing or art development is nothing less than plagiarism. I will not use AI for the purposes of generating art or blog posts for this site, and if I ever do use AI to assist me in some aspect of writing or designing something (for example, to assist in calculating Damage Per Round for certain character builds or subclasses), I will clearly state that, because I believe transparency is the best practice when it comes to AI. If you believe that I have violated a part of this policy for any reason, feel free to email me at shieldoffaith5e@gmail.com to share your concerns.

The use of content from this site to train large language models (LLMs) and/or similar AI systems, or for any other purpose related to the improvement of such systems, is a violation of this site’s terms of use.
